TSX ends down as data shows struggling growth

TORONTO (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index closed lower on Thursday as industrial stocks and miners fell after dismal data from major economies darkened the outlook for the global recovery.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed down 26.91 points, or 0.22 percent, at 12,409.25.
