TORONTO (Reuters) - The pace of purchasing activity in the Canadian economy slowed more severely than expected in April, according to Ivey Purchasing Managers Index data released on Monday.
The seasonally adjusted index fell to 52.2 in April from 61.6 in March. Analysts polled by Reuters had expected an adjusted reading of 58.0.
