(Reuters) - Canadian factory sales fell by 0.5 percent in June from May, missing the 0.5 percent gain forecast by analysts and marking the fourth decline in six months, Statistics Canada data indicated on Friday.
The monthly drop mainly reflected lower sales of fabricated metals, wood products and jewelery and silverware, part of the miscellaneous manufacturing category. In volume terms, sales fell by 1.3 percent.
