Canada new home prices climb 0.3 percent in October

Dec 10 (Reuters) - - New home prices in Canada rose by a higher-than-expected 0.3 percent in October from September on higher prices in the Toronto area, data from Statistics Canada showed on Thursday.

Prices also rose in Victoria, Vancouver and Edmonton, while Calgary was flat. The national increase followed a 0.1 percent monthly gain in September.
