Canadian factory sales unexpectedly fell in September from August, dropping 1.5 percent on lower sales of motor vehicles and oil products, data from Statistics Canada showed on Monday.

August manufacturing was revised further downward as September sales fell for the second consecutive month, to C$51.08 billion ($38.41 billion), the lowest level since May.
