Canadian Pacific ships oil from new facility
(Reuters) - Canadian Pacific Railway Ltd (CP.TO: Quote) said on Thursday it is now shipping crude oil by rail for NuStar Energy LP (NS.N: Quote) from its new transload facility near Lloydminster, Saskatchewan.
CP, Canada's second-biggest railway and under pressure from an activist investor to improve its operating performance, said it plans to expand the facility in 2012. Transloading uses specialized pumps and a hose system to transfer oil from trucks to rail cars.
