Canadian Pacific ships oil from new facility

(Reuters) - Canadian Pacific Railway Ltd (CP.TO) said on Thursday it is now shipping crude oil by rail for NuStar Energy LP (NS.N) from its new transload facility near Lloydminster, Saskatchewan.

CP, Canada's second-biggest railway and under pressure from an activist investor to improve its operating performance, said it plans to expand the facility in 2012. Transloading uses specialized pumps and a hose system to transfer oil from trucks to rail cars.
