TORONTO, July 31 (Reuters) - Canada's dollar slipped slightly to hit a session low against its U.S. counterpart on Tuesday morning after data showed the economy grew by a weaker-than-expected 0.1 percent in May.

The Canadian currency fell to C$1.0035 versus the greenback, or 99.65 U.S. cents, from about C$1.0029 just before the data's release.
