CANADA FX-C$ rises to highest level in a year

 TORONTO, Oct 6 (Reuters) - The Canadian dollar rose to its
highest level against the U.S. currency in a year on Tuesday
morning as commodity and equity prices soared.
 The Canadian unit touched a high of C$1.0583 to the U.S.
dollar, or 94.50 U.S. cents, up from C$1.0701 to the U.S.
dollar, or 93.45 U.S. cents, at Monday's close.
