CANADA STOCKS-TSX closes up as gold miners, banks offset energy

TORONTO, Sept 19 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index ended
slightly higher on Wednesday as gold miners and banking stocks
rose, while a further fall in crude oil prices hurt energy
shares.
    The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index
 unofficially closed up 13.45 points, or 0.11 percent,
at 12,436.16.
