CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens lower as resource stocks weigh

TORONTO, Sept 24 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index
opened lower on Monday as mining and oil and gas shares
retreated in line with dips in commodity prices.    
    The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index
 was down 42.22 points, or 0.34 percent, at 12,343.86
shortly after the open.
