CANADA STOCKS-TSX ends higher on upbeat U.S. data

TORONTO, Oct 1 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index rose
moderately on Monday, but eased from a one-week high as signs of
economic weakness in China and evidence of a new recession in
the euro zone weighed offset better-than-expected U.S. data.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index
unofficially closed up 52.73 points, or 0.43 percent,
at 12,370.19.
