CANADA STOCKS-TSX finishes higher; Celtic Exploration, oils lead

TORONTO, Oct 17 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index
climbed for the third straight session on Wednesday, as a surge
in shares of Celtic Exploration Ltd following a
takeover bid led a rally among energy companies.
    The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index
 finished up 53.54 points, or 0.43 percent, at
12,461.24. Seven of the index's 10 main groups were higher.
