CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher; resource shrs climb on U.S jobs data

TORONTO, Feb 1 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened
higher on Friday, led by energy and materials stocks, which
benefited from rising commodity prices after U.S. jobs data
pointed to modest economic growth.
    The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index
 was up 75.77 points, or 0.60 percent, at 12,761.01
shortly after the open.
