CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher as resources lead gains

TORONTO, July 19 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index
opened higher on Friday, led by resource stocks, as sentiment
was boosted by strong commodity prices and a reassurance from
Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke that plans for U.S.
monetary stimulus will be flexible.
    The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index
 was up 12.64 points, or 0.10 percent, at 12,641.49
shortly after the open.
