CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher as gold miners jump

TORONTO, Dec 10 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened
higher on Tuesday, helped by a surge in major gold miners as the
price of bullion hit a three-week high, while energy companies
also aided the rise.
    The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index
 was up 12.43 points, or 0.09 percent, at 13,325.21
shortly after the open.
