CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens lower as energy shares drop with oil price
TORONTO Jan 12 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened lower on Monday as oil prices dropped after Goldman Sachs cut its forecast for the commodity, sending down shares of energy companies.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index was down 99.83 points, or 0.69 percent, at 14,285.09 shortly after the open. (Reporting by John Tilak; Editing by Meredith Mazzilli)
