CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher as gold-mining shares rise

TORONTO, Jan 13 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index rose on Tuesday as shares of gold-mining companies climbed with the bullion price and all other major sectors recorded modest gains.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index was up 41.38 points, or 0.29 percent, at 14,306.39 shortly after the open. (Reporting by John Tilak; Editing by Lisa Von Ahn)
