CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens lower as energy shares fall with oil price

TORONTO, March 10 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened lower on Tuesday as a strong U.S. dollar and mixed economic data from China put pressure on oil prices, weighing on shares of energy producers.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index was down 135.94 points, or 0.92 percent, at 14,718.55 shortly after the open. (Reporting by John Tilak; Editing by Chizu Nomiyama)
