TORONTO, July 21 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index rose on Tuesday as a rebound in commodity prices, following recent selloffs, helped drive up shares of energy and mining companies.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index was up 59.28 points, or 0.41 percent, at 14,484.83 shortly after the open. (Reporting by John Tilak)
