CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher on global data, China comments

TORONTO, Feb 15 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index opened higher on Wednesday with mining issues boosted by solid U.S. and European economic data and positive comments from China on the euro zone debt crisis.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index was up 41.47 points, or 0.3 percent, at 12,395.94 shortly after the open.
