CANADA STOCKS-TSX ends higher on U.S. confidence data

TORONTO, Feb 28 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index climbed on Tuesday as resource issues gained on higher metals prices and U.S. confidence data lifted market sentiment.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index unofficially finished the day up 40.09 points, or 0.32 percent, at 12,740.47.
