CANADA STOCKS-TSX slumps as mixed U.S. data weighs

TORONTO, March 29 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index sagged at the open on Thursday, tracking global markets lower on mixed U.S. economic data on jobless claims that renewed investors' fears about the outlook for the world's biggest economy.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index fell 35.30 points, or 0.28 percent, to 12,378.56.
