TORONTO, March 30 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index climbed at the open on Friday after falling for three straight sessions, buoyed by rising commodity prices and reassuring measures to prevent the euro zone's sovereign debt crisis from spreading.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index rose 1.83 points, or 0.01 percent, to 12,341.19, and then extended gains.
