CANADA STOCKS-TSX pushes higher as Europe sentiment improves

TORONTO, April 17 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index
opened slightly higher on Tuesday as investors focused on
encouraging U.S. corporate results and  improving sentiment
about Europe's economy.     	
    The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index
 opened up 9.28 points, or 0.08 percent, to 12,046.87,
before modestly extending gains.
