CANADA STOCKS-TSX closes narrowly higher after U.S. data boost

TORONTO, Aug 14 (Reuters) - Canada's benchmark equity index
edged higher on Tuesday, helped by financial and energy stocks
as U.S. retail spending showed signs of a rebound that could
herald broader growth in Canada's largest trading partner.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index
unofficially closed up 15.28 points, or 0.13 percent,
at 11,853.61.
