CANADA STOCKS-TSX ends flat; surging banks offset falling resources

TORONTO, Aug 29 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index closed
nearly unchanged on Wednesday, as surging bank stocks in the

shares of energy and mining companies.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index
unofficially closed down 0.1 of a point at 12,009.79.
