CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens lower, hurt by U.S. debt limit concerns

TORONTO, Jan 15 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened
lower on Tuesday, led by the financial sector, with investors
nervous about the debate brewing in Washington over raising the
U.S. borrowing limit.
    The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index
 was down 24.03 points, 0.19 percent, at 12,579.06
shortly after the open.
