CANADA STOCKS-TSX edges higher after selloff as banks rise

TORONTO, June 12 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index
opened higher on Wednesday, recovering from the previous
session's sharp selloff, as gains in the financial and energy
sectors offset a decline in Dollarama Inc after the
retailer reported quarterly results.
    The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index
 was up 5.74 points, or 0.05 percent, at 12,229.31
shortly after the open.
