CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher as banks offset selloff in gold miners
TORONTO, July 14 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened higher on Monday as strength in the financial and energy sectors helped offset a decline in gold-mining shares after the price of bullion plunged. The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index was up 15.15 points, or 0.10 percent, at 15,140.65 shortly after the open. (Reporting by John Tilak; Editing by Chizu Nomiyama)
