CANADA STOCKS-TSX poised to open higher ahead of U.S. jobs data
Oct 3 (Reuters) - Stock futures pointed to a higher opening for Canada's main stock index ahead of U.S. non-farm payrolls data on Friday, with December futures on the S&P TSX index <0#SXF:> up 0.37 percent at 0720 ET. Trade balance, exports and imports data is due at 0830 ET The index fell in a volatile session on Thursday as weakness in oil prices weighed on energy shares and a drop in copper prices hit mining companies. Dow Jones Industrial Average e-mini futures were up 0.40 percent at 0720 ET, S&P 500 e-mini futures were up 0.48 percent and Nasdaq 100 e-mini futures were up 0.40 percent.
