CANADA STOCKS-Index extends loss on oil price drop
TORONTO Nov 6 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index extended its opening loss on Thursday as energy issues fell on a drop in the price of oil, with interest rate cuts overseas failing to buoy sentiment.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE fell 108.93 points, or 1.1 percent, to 9,778.27. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; Editing by Peter Galloway)
