Toronto stocks jump 200 points on firm resources

TORONTO, April 7 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange’s main index jumped more than 200 points by mid-morning on Monday amid investor optimism and strength in commodity prices.

The Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 205.25 points, or 1.5 percent, at 13,873.44. ($1=$1.01 Canadian) (Reporting by Scott Anderson; Editing by Bernadette Baum)
