Toronto stocks lifted by resources, jobs data

TORONTO, Feb 8 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange’s main index was slightly higher just after the opening bell on Friday, as persistent worries over the health of the U.S. economy offset a robust Canadian jobs report and gains in resource prices.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 14.72 points, or 0.11 percent, at 12,940.00, with three of its 10 main groups in positive territory. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; editing by Janet Guttsman)
