Toronto stocks tumble on oil retreat, credit woes

TORONTO, July 15 (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's main index fell sharply and broadly on Tuesday, led by tumbling resources as oil prices retreated, while financials were battered by more credit crunch worries.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 400.14 points, or 2.9 percent, at 13,341.15. (Reporting by Leah Schnurr; Editing by Peter Galloway)
