CANADA STOCKS-TSX drops sharply as banks feel heat

TORONTO, Nov 19 (Reuters) - Toronto Stock Exchange's main index sank 4 percent on Wednesday in a broad selloff led by key resource and financials issues on gloomy news from the banking sector.

The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE unofficially closed down 367.75 points, or 4.16 percent, at 8,467.98. (Reporting by Jennifer Kwan; Editing by Peter Galloway)
