CANADA STOCKS-TSX extends drop, resources lead slide
TORONTO, Oct 30 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index extended losses on Friday morning, led by declines in commodity-based issues such as Canadian Natural Resources (CNQ.TO: Quote) and Barrick Gold (ABX.TO: Quote), partly from softening prices for oil and gold and as profit-taking took hold after the index's big rally in the previous session.
The S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was down 110.31 points, or 1 percent, at 10,964.91. (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; editing by Rob Wilson)
