CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens down on sovereign debt fears
TORONTO, July 18 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock market index opened lower on Monday as investors fled riskier assets on growing debt fears on both sides of the Atlantic, though a record high for gold helped stem the losses.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE opened down 3.53 points at 13,296.01, before slightly extending losses
