TORONTO, July 22 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock market index jumped at the open on Friday, buoyed by healthy earnings at General Electric and several other U.S. companies and by hopes that a rescue package negotiated for Greece will contain Europe's debt crisis.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE opened 4.69 points higher at 13,438.99, and then extended gains. Six of the index's 10 main groups were up. (Reporting by Ka Yan Ng; editing by Peter Galloway)
