TORONTO, Aug 30 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index opened higher on Tuesday as gold miners rallied with bullion prices, but financials dragged with investors cautious ahead of the release of U.S. consumer confidence data and the Fed's open market committee minutes.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index .GSPTSE was up 0.19 of a point at 12,505.04. Five of the index's main groups were higher. (Reporting by Trish Nixon; editing by Peter Galloway)
