CANADA STOCKS-TSX skids 1 percent on global growth worries

TORONTO, March 5 (Reuters) - Toronto’s main stock index fell sharply on Monday morning after new economic data raised expectations of a recession in Europe and as China signaled slower growth ahead.

The Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index dropped 126.60 points, or 1.0 percent, to 12,517.22.
