CANADA STOCKS-TSX turns up on strong energy shares

TORONTO, April 26 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index turned positive in early trade on Thursday as disappointing domestic earnings in the materials sector were offset by stronger energy shares.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index rose 0.55 of a point to 12,111.61, before slipping back into negative territory.
