CANADA STOCKS-TSX drops 1 pct on global growth fears

TORONTO, June 21 (Reuters) - Toronto's main stock index sank 1 percent shortly after the open on Thursday as commodity prices tumbled on weak economic data from China and Europe that fanned fears about global growth.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index sank 118.98 points, or 1.01 percent, at 11,640.36.
