CANADA STOCKS-TSX little changed as growth worries persist

TORONTO, Aug 13 (Reuters) - Toronto stocks were little changed at the open on Monday, supported by firmness in oil and gold prices even as investors were cautious after Japanese data added to evidence of a slowing global economy.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index sank 3.98 points to 11,886.91 shortly after the open, after rising 3.76 points at 11,894.65.
