CANADA STOCKS-TSX falls after shifting signals from Europe

TORONTO Aug 20 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index turned lower on Monday, weighed down by shifting signals about the European Central Bank's plans to tackle the region's sovereign debt crisis.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index was down 10.6 points, or 0.1 percent, at 12,079.29 shortly after the open.
