CANADA STOCKS-TSX turns positive, but Nexen, Progress drags

TORONTO, Oct 22 (Reuters) - Canada’s main stock turned positive on Monday, as firmer mining shares helped lift the market out of negative territory, but Canada’s rejection of a foreign bid for Progress Energy Resources Corp hit energy shares, tempering gains.

The Toronto Stock Exchange’s S&P/TSX composite index rose 0.36 of a point to 12,416.34. Six of the index’s 10 main groups were higher.
