TORONTO, Nov 6 (Reuters) - Canadian shares were little changed in early trade on Tuesday as weakness in healthcare and industrial shares offset stronger materials and investors took a cautious stance as Americans went to the polls to elect the country's president.

The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index fell 0.84 of a point to 12,351.94 shortly after the open.
