CANADA STOCKS-TSX mixed early as miners slip and railways rise
TORONTO Oct 23 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened slightly lower on Wednesday as mining companies slipped after days of gains while strong results from the country's two biggest railways kept losses in check.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index was down 9.96 points, or 0.09 percent, at 13,236.34 shortly after the open. It breached positive territory briefly.
