CANADA STOCKS-TSX falls 1 percent as global growth worries weigh

TORONTO, April 17 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index fell
more than 1 percent on Wednesday, led by declines in energy and
financial shares, as concerns about global economic growth and
weak U.S. earnings reports hurt investor sentiment.
The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index
was down 145.47 points, or 1.20 percent, at 11,974.05
in midmorning trade.
