CANADA STOCKS-TSX turns negative as banks, energy shares weigh

TORONTO, April 18 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index
turned negative in early Thursday trade as weakness in financial
and energy shares offset gains made by gold stocks.
    The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index
 was down 16.20 points, or 0.14 percent, at 11,930.89,
after opening higher.
