CANADA STOCKS-TSX turns higher after financials offset weaker resources

TORONTO, July 29 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index
turned positive on Monday after gains in the financial sector
offset weakness in shares of energy and materials companies,
which followed commodity prices lower.
    The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX composite index
 was up 3.34 points, or 0.03 percent, at 12,651.24 in
early afternoon trade.
